Dhobi Ghat is tipped to be different from the usual or even remotely close to the usual Bollywood flick except the terrific acting, which Bollywood has witnessed over the years. This film comes under a rare genre of Bollywood where the film is devoid of any song, dance and the usual masala angle. “Dhobi Ghat” is targeted at the global audience with a very Hollywood flick kind of feel.

The film is set in the backdrop of the Mumbai season and is a story of the intertwined lives of Arun “the painter” played by Aamir, Shai “NRI girl” played by Monica Dogra and Prateek Babbar depicted washerboy “Munna”. Aamir khan, who plays the role of a painter, which he somewhat touched upon in “Taare Jameen Par” is said to have done a fantastic job, which we can very safely say to be quite usual.
