Asif… if there is enough information available for ICC to be able to suspend these players right now.. it’s also enough to make sure they are not awarded anything.

That is funny Asif. People here on this fourm declared all of them cheats including Aamir even before ICC suspended them. And you want ICC to still keep him a nominee after he has been suspended???

I think ICC jumped the gun when they put charges on these players. But once they have done that it makes sense to remove Aamir from the list. It would have looked even more stupid if they still had kept him as a nominee. Again that would have led to more mudslinging.

The trial begins in 12 days from today and I expect a swift verdict of ‘guilty’ or ‘not guilty’ (wishful) here - within a day or two
The awards are still some 4.5 weeks away…Right!

which would have still given ICC two weeks or so to drop Aamer’s name from the list if found guilty

It is like announcing an election result once a candidate has secured 50% of the votes before counting has even been completed in a constituency

Let the due process take care of itself
