If you think that Aamir applied best marketing strategy for his film Ghajini then he has gone one notch further for the marketing of his upcoming film 3 idiots. Aamir will play a Alternate Reality Game (ARG) with the entire nation by using varied media platforms.
In simple words Aamir has gone in disguise for next 2 weeks and people will have to fine his whereabouts through the random clues. He will reveal himself every 48 hours after the clue is made public.
He will resurface in different parts of the country. To announce this concept a press conference was called and entire cast of the film was going to be there but till the last moment Aamir didn’t come, instead he sent a DVD with her secretary which contained a video directed by him said that he is going in to disguise and his friend Sachin Tendulkar only knows where he is. Producer of the film 3 Idiots Vidhu Vinod Chopra was visibly fuming in anger after he knew that Aamir is not coming to the press conference after he made every body wait for more then one and the half hours.
“I am not aware where he is. He is somewhere in India and people will have to find him. He made me and you wait for him and I am on the verge of abusing him publicly when I got his massage with this DVD. He has given a challenge to audience to find him and Sachin Tendulkar wil give the first clue today evening,” Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra said.
Aamir will reveal himself in next 48 hours after Sachin Tendulkar gives the first
clue. Sachin is watching 3 Idiots at Bandra’s Ketnav Studio,Where after watching the movie he will give first clue at 5.30 pm today.
At the press conference apart from Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra Director Raju Hirani, Actor R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Kareena Kapoor were present. Kareena flew down from Sydney specially to be part of this event. On this occasion Behti hawa sa tha who.., song from the film was released.
