Home advantage. in form batting (you probably won't ever have a better opening combo than Sachin and Sehwag). India's bowling is not great but it is adequate on the slow home pitches, besides ODIs are won mainly by batsmen.

I agree - its India’s game to lose. But then we have lost to SA and tied with England (we should have won both games).
India’s batting is better than SL i.e. we bat deeper.
SL’s has a better bowling attack esp Malinga (Murali’s playing is questionable). But the treatment meted out by Sehwag to Umar Gul makes me less concerned about Malinga.
Our fielding has been pretty good in the last few games and I don’t see SL have a big edge there.
We have home advantage which would be pretty huge boost for a pressure cooker match like the WC finals.

Unless God has bigger defeats for India in plan, they should be loosing this one for their sheer arrogance and loser attitude :).

Both team evenly balanced. Indian batting while good on paper, is vulnerable starting at #8 position. While both Bajji and Zaheer have potential to put up 20+ runs, they lack the discipline to pick their spots, and try to assume a hero's role - going for a 4 or 6 every ball. Zaheer got lucky last game, couple of his reckless shots went for 4.
Running between wickets is atrocious- 1avoidable run-out is a guarantee (or a near miss). Too many extra singles are let go since batsmen don't run the 1st run fast.
Gambhir and Kohli back to back may bog down inning a bit too much - Pathan for Kohli may be a bolder move. Dhoni's overestimation of his batting prowess (coming ahead of Raina) may come back to bite India. Raina cannot keep delivering from such a late entry. The middle order collapse is becoming a rule, rather than an exception.
Sri Lanka appears more well balanced.
Rooting for India, with healthy respect for Sri Lanka (or Ceylon as my father still refers to them!)

though i want SL to win since SL is in form, as for india at least in the last match their cricket was classless (except for unexpected bowling). but since Haroon lorgart already predicted for us that tendulkar will have a century so why bother with this prediction game.
india is a capitalist world and they dont want to lose a single chance of cashing indian's emotion.
on the other hand, i read nehra is injured, and harbhajen calling victory against Pakistan greater than winning finals (even before playing the finals how can he says this). daal wich kuch kala hai!
