what’s with the host of that program? he’s on every single channel 24/7 
and he hosts programs, receives calls, reads duas * and oopar se he has also started reciting naats too seriously i’m beginning to see the dude in my sleep after how much he’s on tv

well he is a very informative person but yes too much of tv is hazardous.. though i like this program sometimes… when they call some respectable scholars to comment on a particular issue.

i enjoy watching the ramzan transmission on vectone urdu, especially the sehri transmission with professor wats his name!! he seem to be very knowledgableand i like the way he explains points of islam that he raises, but i hate that mufti barkattullah @ 10.00 pm (gmt) he does my head in and doez gigs he proudly wears need to go!!!!

No i think they are talking about "GEO TV" that can oly be watched in Pakistan & Mideast via Cable network.
It is mostly a news channel,with a prime time(6-10pm i guess)entertainment programs.
FYI: His name is Dr. Aamir Liqat Hussain he was the first live newscaster of GEO TV, and he is doing this show for the past 1 year, this year he is also doing the Sheri transmission with Fazila Qazi Qasair.
He is also a MNA(MQM) from Karachi...

Hudood Ord: MQM MNA challenges religious scholars
ISLAMABAD, Oct 24: A Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) MNA, Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain, has challenged the religious scholars and leaders to hold a live TV debate with him on Hudood Ordinance in which he claimed he would prove that this law was unIslamic.
Talking to Dawn here on Friday, the MQM MNA said the Hudood Ordinance had nothing to do with Islam and he could prove it with arguments. Dr Amir said there was no doubt that the word “Hudood” had its mention in Islam but the present Hudood Ordinance was completely unIslamic and it should be repealed immediately.
The MNA said Islam was a religion which provided relief to women. He regretted that in Pakistan, women had been put on the mercy of men through various laws such as Hudood Ordinance.
On the issue of quorum in the National Assembly, Dr Amir said opposition was also responsible for non-functioning of the parliament. "Maintenance of quorum is equally the responsibility of the opposition members ", he said. He said if the quorum problem continued, then there could be a “military coup”, after which there would be no parliament.

i think he is applying that parliament can fail coz of this problems going b/w the govt and opp.
And Mush can take advantage of this to take over again (like some reports are suggesting this)......
"Maintenance of quorum is equally the responsibility of the opposition members " on this he is wrong, it is the govt who should take care of this, the opposition comes but after starting session they protest and walk out, only the govt members stay behind, so most 172 of the govt members are not in the NA hall....
so purely a govt backed statement, to scold the opposition.....

Have you seen before a Clean Shaved,well westrenely dressed guy reciting Quran and NAaat and discussing varous issues on our media,, Hell No to me... He is bringing a brave change that ppl doesnt need to be a big bearded or costume wearing Ollama or Maulana to discuss ISLAM on tv.
His popularity is increasing by Mass these days.. and the segment of the show in which they bring scholars from different sacts on the same table and discuss various issues with them without going into any trouble is just wonderfull..

You are right one doesn’t need to be bearded to recite Quran or discuss religious issues but having a beard is a Sunnat of the Prophet (sallallaho alaihe wassallam) and all four Imam’s of fiqh and other scholars of the Ahl-e-Sunnat wal Jamaat are agreed that it is wajib for believing men to have a beard.
The Molvis are setting an example for us to follow at least they should adhere to the Sunnat and Arkaan of Islam before they start preaching about other stuff.

Over actor, no doubt he has knowledge .. but why do acting on such a show? and naat should be recited sitting straigh atleast, same goes for duas.
