I don’t want to sit here and discuss any issues about this show other than the following - so PLEASE try to keep the discussion on track.
People call in to the show from all over the place. I’ve watched the show a few times, and sometimes you really hear a peculiar story. Or at least one that horrifies you. Or some interesting question. Or something that makes you think “Wow, people think that way??”
Describe a call that you heard on the show that really struck you - whether as peculiar or interesting or funny or whatever.
One particular one that stuck to my mind is of a lady that called in (somehow I recognised her voice). It an aunty I met in California once. She called in to ask about what should one do with children who disrespect their parents by wanting to move out of the home. She has a big family, so when I heard her story, I was able to totally recognise her, eventhough she disguised her name.
Another caller called in once and asked about if it was okay to collect zakat from every year and pay it all at once. Zakat is paid annually and I believe one cannot just accumulate it and pay it out any odd year. I just found that funny that someone would ask such a silly question.
