Very easy gtg!

Brown some keema with adrak lassan and a little salt (and lal mirch if you want it spicy)…once browned, drain off the fat/liquid. Add your favorite taco or fajita seasoning and a tiny bit of water and continue to cook.

Take 4 flour tortillas…place one in the dish and spoon the keema over it. Top with the next tortilla and continue until you reach the top. The last layer should be keema. Spoon some queso cheese sauce over the top (i like the chile con queso) and then bake uncovered at 400 for about 15 minutes. Take it out and top with shredded lettuce and diced tomato. Serve with a dollop of sour cream and guacamole.

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

I used the Shan Chow Mein and just followed the instructions on the box..

Saute your thinly sliced chicken (or you can use beef or prawns) with a little adrak lasan. Once it’s no longer pink, add your shredded veggies (cabbage, carrots, bean sprouts, green onions, snow peas etc…to cut down on time, I bought the premade bags of Asian Style salad mix/slaw that already has all these ready to go) and the Shan Chow Mein masala and stir fry it. The veggies will wilt down a little. While that’s cooking boil your noodles (either egg noodles or spaghetti which is what I used). After noodles are done, drain and combine with the chicken mixture. I sprinkled some slivered toasted almonds and crunchy chinese noodles (like the ones they serve with soup) over it all before serving.

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

Poutine is just 3 things…french fries/chips, gravy, cheese curds

The gravy you can either buy the powdered packets and just add water or make your own..I prefer to make my own.

If you can’t find fresh cheese curds, you can substitute mozzarella cheese.

Fry your potoatoes/chips.

Add your crumbled mozzarella or cheese curds.

Ladle the gravy over

The gravy should be hot so that it melts the cheese curds a little, or if you like you can put the prepared poutine under the broiler for a few seconds.

This is how I make my gravy:

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup beef broth

These are cheese curds:

If you live in the US, you can find fresh cheese curds at any upscale grocery store/Whole Foods/Wegmans type place
