Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
Kabobs look delish!
Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
Here is a link to the recipe I used for the chapli kabobs:
Chapli Kebab: A Great Addition to any Meal Plan
I omitted many ingredients and it still tasted amazing. The ingredients I didnt include were:
minced chicken (replaced with minced beef)
green chili paste (replaced with chopped green chilis)
anardana powder
ajwain
potato
breadcrumbs (replaced with hand-shredded slice of bread)
I ate the kebob by itself.. no naan or anything because we usually have iftar so it’s enough to keep you full. We tried the recipe with the chicken and potato but it was a bit dry compared to the beef which was really juicy and tasty so I’d highly recommend trying it without the potato. The egg and slice of bread is enough to bind the ingredients together.
We’ll be making them again tonight! I think it’s safe to say I’m addicted ![]()
Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
Thought I would share! DH and I hit a massive milestone in our marriage, so our children made us an Iftari meal and of course it would not be complete without cake!
Tuna Steak with Mango Puree
Mushroom Pilaf
Steamed Asparagus
Blackberry Mascarpone Cake (uploader not working for me for 2nd pic, sorry)
Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
Fish and fruit? Doesn’t sound very nice. Pilaf looks delicious though.

yummyyy
What is lahmacun and how do you make it sidra ? Pls share recipe
Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
I noticed your fruit chaat includes chopped dates. That’s how we make ours and and I haven’t come across anyone else from among relos r family friends that also does that. I love the texture it adds to the chaat…like a candy/chewy element. Plus dates contain iron which is said to absorb better in conjunction with vitamin C, so it’s a good combo.
Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
Lahmacun is a turkish pizza, we got the frozen ones but it’s not that difficult to make. Lahmacun Turkish Pizza Recipe - Allrecipes.com
We garnish them with lemon, cucumbers, tomatoes and onions.
Yeah, you just said it !! I love dates in fruit chaats. We even add it in creamy fruit chaats. It just saves the extra sugar that most desi people add.
