Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya

Tuna Pasta Bake
**serves about 4-5 ppl
**1 tin of tuna
1 jar homepride pasta sauce ( i use the tomato, garlic and chilii )
pasta shapes ( 4 handfuls roughly ) sorry i never really measure this bit
grated cheddar cheese (as much as you like )
1 ball of mozzarella cheese ( thinly sliced )
# *Get a small saucepan and fill with water, then add your pasta shapes
leave to boil for about 8 - 10 mins
*# *Preheat your oven/micro - oven to 200'c
*# *In a bowl pour your sauce from jar, and add your tin of tuna and give a good stir
*# Drain your pasta and put into the sauce, tuna and give a good stir, then fill up half the pasta sauce jar with warm water
and stir into the bowl
*# **Put into a ovenproof dish and place into the oven for 20 mins, when time is over take it out and give it a stir
*# **Top the pasta with grated cheese all over, then top the grated cheese with sliced mozzarella and pop back into oven
for 15 mins until golden brown on top.
Hope you enjoy it :)

200 celcius/centigrade = 392 farenheit.

Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
Dosa: That's too funny, I used the same recipe :D
RV: I just didn't have sesame seeds so I replaced it with zeera. It is so simple to make and out of this world good. Do post picture after you make one.

I actually made it today. Can't believe it. I've got a ton of things to do with tomorrow being the first day of school and getting ready for the classes/students....but I bought the ingredients...and made a mess in the kitchen with all the flour...and pulled it out of the oven just a few minues ago. I'm rather proud of myself, it looks gorgeous. I was afraid that the bread might be hard...but no...it's soft and flaky. I drizzled melted butter over it and covered it with foil to eat later cuz I'm stuffed from iftar food. I hope it tastes as good as it looks. Shame my dad's sleeping off his jet lag and hasn't seen it...he's always bugging me to learn cooking. Took some pics from my cell phone...will inshaAllah post later when I have some time.
Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
^^ yes it is lovelyyy....a must try, I make double the dough, it is ok to keep it in fridge for a week or so...I make fresh filling and make the bread whenever I need too. You can also bake it, cool it and keep it in freezer for few weeks too, just pop it back in the oven after you thaw it about 75% and it is like fresh from the oven.
This group fauzia's kitchen on FB had awesome recipes, I have tried few already and they turn out amazingggg.
I usually don't have sasame seeds so I put kalonji, the black seeds, and it looks fantastic too, very forgiving recipe mashallah..
Re: Aaj kya pakaaya/khaaya
Ironically i had been thinking about doing this chicken bread by Fauzia’s kitchen for quite a few days. It was absolutely no-fail.
