** u sound right but he had no money. he couldn't arrange for any money and a lot of money...that meant he couldn't go...he had to accept the FREE ticket...Khair
he came to australia
he was very happpy. everybody except the girl came to the airport to pick him up. he was looking for her then his sis in law said she didn't come coz its not acceptable in our culture for the bou and the girl see eachother b4 marriage. its sounded right to the village guy. he came to sasural like he was a girl who was ruKhsatified and brought to the sasural.
nexct morning they went to the Govt office to register their intention to get married and get the necessary documentation to for the family friend who was gonna solemnize the wedding.
he saw her in the back seat of the car but did not speak a word to eachother...not even salaam...they both were shy in the company of elders

what do you think? was it ok not to let the boy and the girl meet? or, atleast give them some privacy to have a lil conversation? or, was it ok to deny them any say in the matter?**

**yes, i agree with you...zaalim samaaj .... ufff!!!!
next day [thursday], his wud be mother in law came to him and said...beTaa...we live in the same house and its hard for us to maintain parda between u and my beTii so wudn't it make sense if you to got married ASAP..and further suggested that the marriage may take place on the weekend [sat]. he thought...well, yes it does make sense and he had the purity of intention to get married anyways so why put the family thru more inconvenience who had done great favours by bringing him over to australia, paying his fair and now wedding...so he said OK.
saturday was a big day in his life. he was happpy but very lonely...he was all by himself. no friends, no family members...just himself. he had to take care of himself. it was the day he had been waiting for 7 months and thats how long it took for him to go thru the visa processing.

This happy day was marked by lonliness and worries and the fear of the unknown. should they have travelled to their native country with the girl and got married there so the boys family could attend the wedding. what do you ***think?*
