TODAY: 9/23/10:
So they found her guilty of 3 crimes for which she got 20 years at least

Rubbish cases against her…Family says they will continue the appeal process…

Re: Aafia Siddiqui sentenced to 76 years

What a sham case, what a sham trial. It clearly shows US has no 'intelligence', all the so called evidence is a pile of poop.

Re: Aafia Siddiqui sentenced to 76 years

Goes to show the people here in US who feel that now their children have a secure future....She was a MIT grad for goodness sake.....

May Allah swt have mercy on us that we understand

Re: Aafia Siddiqui sentenced to 76 years

USA showed its cruel face again. It is disgrace for the incumbent government of Pakistan and Muslim World.
SHAME ON USA.

Re: Aafia Siddiqui sentenced to 76 years

Arrest the persons responsible for this all with Afia.
Pervez Musharrf and his .............
Yesterday I posted some photos of dead dogs for Mush and later I was realised by Mods that those were not good to be posted here for Mush.
I felt ashamed and said sorry but today I ask them to allow me to post those again.
They deserve more.

Re: Aafia Siddiqui sentenced to 76 years

the accusations against her were pretty wonky. but her own history is also pretty suspicious. some of the things in her past are not what you see in an average Pakistani's life especially not in a Pakistani woman's life.

Re: Aafia Siddiqui sentenced to 76 years

Sorry I haven't been following this story, what kind of things are there, which are suspicious?

Re: Aafia Siddiqui sentenced to 76 years

she and her Pakistani husband divorced because she apparently wanted to move the family to Afghanistan to join the jihad. after divorcing her Pakistani husband, she married an Arab man who was supposedly also the nephew of an Al-Qaida leader.

most Pakistani women I know don't want to move to Afghanistan. most Pakistani women don't divorce their husbands because they're not jihadi enough for them. and most Pakistani women don't marry relatives of Al-Qaeda leaders. this was one MOTIVATED lady... motivated to do what? god knows. but there are things about her past which are extremely scary.

Re: Aafia Siddiqui sentenced to 76 years

^like?

Re: Aafia Siddiqui sentenced to 76 years

^ I mentioned some very interesting things about her past which you don't see average Pakistani women getting involved with - such as marrying relatives of Al-Qaeda leaders, etc.

for the rest, google is your friend.

Re: Aafia Siddiqui sentenced to 76 years

err i can go marry Bin ladins phuppo ka beta. Does that mean i am planning on jihad too.

Re: Aafia Siddiqui sentenced to 76 years

that's a great idea.

here's what you do...

go marry a Pakistani man. have kids with him. then propose that you move with him and the kids to Afghanistan to help the taliban. then, when he refuses, ask for a divorce. then go marry Bin Laden's phuppo ka beta who btw is also accused of helping the 9/11 hijackers. then go to Afghanistan and be arrested there with explosives (according to one narrative).

still doesn't mean you're planning on jihad. right?

Re: Aafia Siddiqui sentenced to 76 years

osama bin laden's son was married to a british lady btw.

that didn't make the woman a jihadi.

Re: Aafia Siddiqui sentenced to 76 years

Ms. Siddiqui is accused of a lot more than just marrying the al-qaeda agent. but if you have a reading disability, I understand and sympathize.

additionally bin laden's son disowns his father and his terrorist activities. and his british wife doesn't urge him to go join his father's jihad. some small differences between bin laden's british daughter-in-law and Aafia Siddiqui.

Re: Aafia Siddiqui sentenced to 76 years

:hehe: jiyo bhaiyya.

Re: Aafia Siddiqui sentenced to 76 years

pls stick with cafe. or go back to mismanaging the General forum.

this stuff is too complicated for you. I've actually followed this from before Jamat-e-Islami and MSA sisters jumped on the bandwagon. this is not the case of an innocent, odrinary Muslim woman being persecuted. she is no ordinary woman and there are many curious things in her past which if they were in my past, I would be petrified and expect to get into trouble at some point.

Re: Aafia Siddiqui sentenced to 76 years

Samb, the other person is politely talking to you, you seem clever enough which means clever people respond with the same politeness in return.

This a is a forum where peoples’ opinion will ALWAYS clash. Instead of getting a tad personal just follow through your arguments logically te koi aur rola nai pai ga. :phati:

Re: Aafia Siddiqui sentenced to 76 years

in the whole story of Afia Siddiqi her kids are rarely mentioned. I don't know if they even found the infant who also went missing with her. Being a mother I can not imagine how she must have lived without having any knowledge of the well being of her kids. If my info is correct I think the infant is still missing ?

was the infant also a terrorist ? what was the sin of Afia's kids ?

morning tv reports were telling that her husband divorced her she did not divorce him infact she was pregnant at the time of divorce.

Re: Aafia Siddiqui sentenced to 76 years

Samb jee....stop being the devils advocate here...

Some of us have really followed her story in great detail ( you may have also)...and the case against her never ever mandated a Jail term ....
her babies were robbed of her and then have never been found...
She is accused of helping and marrying a guy who her Mother, sister completely deny that she, Aafia, ever accepted to them.
She had a bad relationship with her ex husband, due to her religious fervor and devotion to local islamic center activities in USA. So he never talks good of her. That is very logical.
She was picked up by Pakistani agencies or CIA with their help in Karachi and was kept in torture for all these years.
Finally she appears out of no where in Afghanistan with a crying 11-12 year old and is accused of picking up a weapon and practically shooting at US soldiers....ahem....where she herself is the only one who gets shot...ahem...

Very good case against her...right...
Yes her story has some twists that remain unexplained because she has never had a free voice under normal circumstances...but that does not mean she is the Lady Al-Ka-ee-da that the US has claimed.....

Give it up....She did not deserve this jail term...she should have been released or alteast put under house arrest in Pakistan for 10 years with her boy in Pakistan.
That would have won the US a lot of sympathy in Pakistan.
Now it only wins it more Jihadis.

Re: Aafia Siddiqui sentenced to 76 years

Did anyone here read the story of Muazzam baeg.. a british pakistani who was also picked up by intelligence agencies and then SOLD to US. wat i read abt him was..he was a british citizen who moved to Afghanistan during Taliban era and set up some school etc. there...eventually moving to pakistan where he was picked and sold.
