I would recommend getting some kali-less (no kali, or beghair kali) shalwaars. They're not very baggy and they have a very classy look. You can wear it with a short kameez (knee length) or below knee length kameez.
Long kameez are no longer in fashion.
Form fitting kameez's work - with short sleeves or no sleeves. 3/4 sleeve is also fashionable.
the other thing that is fairly fashionable even now, is the pant and short kameez dress.
