This week is my toughest week of the semester so far. I have a pathophysiology exam over 20 disease states (more than 120 pages of memorization). Microbiology exam on Wednesday (More than 200 words of memorization plus 4 Chapters reading), Biochemistry exam on Friday (4 Chapters and who knows how many enzymes and pathways to memorize) AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH… I am going into Panic mode, because I can’t memorize that much stuff. I am taking 19 credit hours and I had an exam last week and my aunt came to visit for spring and I saw her after 3 years, so I didn’t get much studying done on spring break and now it’s gonna kick my behind. I guess this was more of a venting session, I feel a little bit better but now back to studying AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!
What stressful weeks have you had or will have in your life and how did you or will you get through them? Because some of us don’t know how to handle a lot of stress like that and we need ideas to deal with such stress.
OMG!!! well gues what my schedule is a lot WORSE!!! I HAVE 2.5 weeks of finals!!! we just got done with our first one on friday- pharm and then on tues i have micro/immuno and later in teh week path and then two more the classes the following week!!!
so lets scream together!!!!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Also I'm drunk on coffee right now!
boy that sounds like a lot! I have taken both microbiology and biochemistry so i totally feel your pain! However, I have never had the privelage of having all three of those exams in one week (knock on wood)! what i would suggest is make a list of required topics you are supposed to know for your exams instead of having to go through every freakin slide and every page of the book and learning everything and set up a time table as to how many hours you will spend studying for each test and get plenty of sleep! Don't become even more stressed out if you don't get everything done. Stick to your plan as much as possible but remember a lack of sleep and anxiety won't help. It is better to be rested and have done as much as you can, than try and cram it all when your brain and body want to rest! Good luck :)
micro is easy though don't sweat over it... There's this book called medical microbiology made ridiculously easy...and it makes micro a walk on the cake. like it's funny and helps you memorise everything. you should get that book. i read it once, and everything has stuck in my head since!
bch!! yeah i had that last year....i have to relook at it for the boards. not looking forward to it...
path - are you in med school? if you are you should get the goljan audios- he makes path a piece of cake and memorable!!
That's coming up next year second semester I think... But if I can make it through this semester, I will survive the other semesters easily Inshallah!!! My parents told me to take a break from studying, but I have been GSing, IMing, and Facebooking, lol. NOT a good idea

LOL. I always get the feeling that every desi that ever exists in the US had to go thru these royal pains many times....i had to got thru it in high school, then undergrad, now med school!!!
I used to be good with sleep, but med school sort of ruined me: it always feels like a horrible trade off -- one more chapter or sleep? one more chapter always wins....sigh.....

I know...i cut out facebooking and IMing and then I discoverd GS...i go on and off on it depending on stress level. like one day all i'll do is GS and the next i'll be like the best student ever!!! lol
GS is not my biggest problem, because I don't have any friends on here, so I dont get on too much, plus I don't really know how to use it very well. I guess it's a good thing lol.... Where do you go to Med school?

lol! yeah....don't discover too much!! i pmed you about the second part!!! I almost went to pharmacy school too! I thought about it and then changed my mind! My roommate wants to go to pharamacy school though! lol! lot of biochem in pharm i here cuz of the drugs...
Only one semester of biochemistry, that's it. A lot of therapeutics tho, but it's really not that bad. In my opinion it's kinda easy if you do your work, nothing tricky.
i have a biochem exam coming up next week, haven’t started on it because i have to finish teh stupid paper before that, and my prof keeps adding stuff on it. and on top of it, i have other little chores to do, and take notes on other stuff, plus CBL’s to hand it
i had my breakdown already. hoping i won’t have anotehr one right before the exam
