I was bored and was sent a link to this site I had a look but found lots of strange things written by strange people so I went back to my usual cyber haunts and didnt comeback till a few months later
Today, I went back and took a look at threads from “a year ago”
and found out that some of them are really funny and interesting, some of the gupshuppers have become friends or acqaintances or are just familiar posters… and others have disappeared off the face of this site.
About a year ago, Funguy ate a cookie…tis documented in Cafe, Lajawab wrote a book on life story of mods etc, Muslim Queen opened a door to a chap possibly called Dave
the reason I wrote this is when you have days when the threads are uninspiring go back and read the old ones.... especially in the life and culture forums
ohh man have you all read shikra’s first post? I once opened a thread in Cafe asking everyone to post their first post ever.
Shikra posted his and he had cracked some really corny joke in his first post and then posted the “rotfl” smiley indicating that he laughs at his own jokes.
Im glad your husband is back too…if it means we get to see a little bit more of you!

anyway, some of the threads in culture are really interesting, they had some well informed people back in the olden days before tweenagers could afford computers

You'l have to google it im afraid, my sister has the book I copied it from. It apparantly has two more lines to it. I think the poet's name begins with M.
