A woman's jihad

I came across this thing sometime ago where it said a woman’s jihad is her patience. I don’t remember where I read it, this was some time ago but it just came to mind right now. I want to know how true it is. What is a woman’s jihad, if any? Whether patience is jihad or not, I definitely need to work on it :frowning: Inshallah.

Jihad-binnafs is the best form of Jihad, which every person should take part in. Its fighting your nafs (nafs-e-ammaara) that lures to commit sins all the time. So, in this context it does not matter if the person/Muslim is a man or a woman.

Patience, I think, is only a small part of the above form of Jihad. An example of other parts of it can be self-restraint.

Then, there are other forms of Jihad too. Namely,

  • Jihad bil maal
  • Jihad bis saif (which is the hottest issue these days :))

and others. I think women can take active part in each and everyone of them. For in-depth details, please consult a scholar or some good book on this topic.

Life's a Jihad. Patience happens to be a miniscule part of it. The meaning of each struggle/Jihad has to be sanctified in His eyes too, otherwise its not necessarily a Jihad. Gotta question, what the Jihad is for? if its not morally correct then its not jihad is it (dunno if that made sense)

I dont know....but i think bearing kids, or what a mother constantly does for her child, is a jihad initself. Patience is only part of it. I doubt though if men could even go through half of what women have to in their lives.
