a woman's greatest regret

its probably inherent in females that they are family oriented. they start making their “homes” when they are playing. i have seen my little nieces talking about their dolls as if an adult woman talks about her children. more often than not you will hear from women of all ages that they have dreamt of getting married and having children for as long as they can remember.
and then i have seen women who did not get married and dont have families or children. most of the times i have seen them imbalanced, usually very “crazy” and not in a good way.
based on my experiences i think that women who remain single and do not have children, it is their greatest regret in life that they dont have any family or children.
do you think I am justified in thinking like that?

Did you consider that perhaps this is because many cultures and societies do not offer women an alternative lifestyle, if they choose (or cannot) marry and have children. This can lead to feelings of inadequacy and a lack of direction/purpose.

What we need to move toward is a society that allows for a variety of successful life paths for both men and women – not just in name only.
