Pakistan discovers ‘village’ of white German al-Qaeda insurgents
Investigators have discovered a “Jihadi village” of white German al-Qaeda insurgents, including Muslim converts, in Pakistan’s tribal areas close to the Afghan border.

The village, in Taliban-controlled Waziristan, is run by the notorious al-Qaeda-affiliated Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, which plots raids on Nato forces in Afghanistan.

A recruitment video presents life in the village as a desirable lifestyle choice with schools, hospitals, pharmacies and day care centres, all at a safe distance from the front.

In the video, the presenter, “Abu Adam”, the public face of the group in Germany, points his finger and asks: “Doesn’t it appeal to you? We warmly invite you to join us!”

According to German foreign ministry officials a growing number of German families, many of North African descent, have taken up the offer and travelled to Waziristan where supporters say converts make up some of the insurgents’ most dedicated fighters.

The Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, which has a foothold in several German cities, has capitalised on growing concern over the rising profile of German forces in Afghanistan. Their role has become increasingly controversial in Germany in recent weeks after dozens of civilians were killed in an air strike ordered by German officers.

Last night a foreign ministry spokesman told The Daily Telegraph they were now negotiating with Pakistani authorities for the release of six Germans, including “Adrian M”, a white Muslim convert, his Eritrean wife and their four year old daughter, who were arrested as they were making their way to the “German village”. They are particularly concerned about the welfare of the child.

They are being held in custody in Peshawar after their arrest in May shortly when they crossed the border from Iran. They are understood to have left Germany in March this year.

The spokesman said negotiations were “under way” with Pakistani authorities “concerning a group of German citizens” and that it had been aware that the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan had been recruiting in Germany “since the beginning of the year”.

Their recruitment drive has been led by “Abu Adam”, a 24-year-old German believed to be of Turkish or North African descent who was raised with his, and fellow Jihadi, Abu Ibrahim, in the smart Bonn suburb of Kessenich.

Adam, whose real name is Mounir Chouka, received weapons training from the German army as part of his national service, and later spent three years training at the Federal Office of Statistics where colleagues described him as a “nice boy”.

He left in 2007, telling colleagues he was joining a trading firm in Saudi Arabia, but is believed to have joined a terrorist training camp in Yemen.

In another recruitment video released earlier this year he urged supporters to: “Die the death of honour.”

Khalid Khawaja, a former Pakistan intelligence officer, who describes himself as a friend of Osama bin Laden, said he was aware of a German contingent and that there were a number of Swedish converts too who had arrived in Pakistan “for Jihad”.

“The Europeans are there [in Waziristan]. The most dedicated people there are from Europe. They will do anything for Islam. They are not there because their father’s are Muslim, but by choice,” he said.

Do we want our country to be taken over by foreign Muslims who want to impose Taliban-style law on us?

This is what we get for helping our Muslim brothers?

I hope an American drone closes in on them and eliminates them once and for all.

Why do you hate them so much? They not in YOUR land...the land belongs to the natives there and these brothers are their guests.

I'd advice you to stop the "our country" rant...lest Allah takes away the country from you and you're not in a position to make that statement again.

Pakistan was built for Muslims and these brothers are Muslims...they have all the right to be there.

PESHAWAR: A great exodus from South Waziristan Agency’s areas Makin, Laddah and Pash Ziarat is underway, after the security forces directed the local people to vacate the area.

According to the security sources, the announcements were made from the local radio station, which kick-started the emigration.

The security sources said the action was necessitated by the frequent extremist attacks at Razmak Camp.

My parents, sister, uncle, cousins, et al. are all Muslim. What I was making fun of is radical Islamists. They say if you blow up a hospital, a skyscraper, a cafe, or a Shia mosque you go to heaven and get 72 virgins to use for your perpetual sexual pleasure. Take it up with them. It is their ideology. We have to understand the ideology we are fighting against. If it weren't for the promises of a one way ticket to heaven do you really think there would be so many suicide bombings? You don't see that many terrorist attacks by non-Islamists do you? Sure, they do happen but there is not an conveyor built of terrorists in say, Columbia or Spain, as there is where Islamists hold sway over youths. Is it a coincidence that the conveyor belt began only after Sunni molvis adopted the Shia mullah endorsement of suicide bombing? Islam has been around for 1,400 years. Why has suicide bombing only been a problem for the past 25 years, and among Sunnis for even less than that?

Islam itself does not condone terrorism. For one, Islam banned the killing of innocent people ("to kill one person is like killing all of humanity". Second, in warfare Islam has a set of rules, and among them is giving notice to opponents before attacking. Third, another one of those rules is that you cannot kill civilians. If I make fun of Nazis does that mean I am anti-German?

For far too long we have allowed this dimwit idea of "FATA" the hotbed for anti-progress 1000 year old Neanderthal ideals.

These guys will continue living like Neanderthals as long as we as Pak nation allow them to.

in the past we were afraid that any "action" in Neanderthal area will allow Commies to destabilize Pak.

Commies are long dead, and we need to update our approach too.

As a first thing, we need to change FATA into at least two provinces with their assemblies, CM, Governor, provincial courts, police, and education boards.

This can only be done by getting rid of the draconian rules imposed on these tribals in the form of FCR.

Time to treat the FATA people as equal to the rest of the country.

Time to accept them as normal law abiding human beings, as our brother (and not as Neanderthals). As part of the "change", we may have to use both stick and carrot. The carrot is the setting up of all the institutions that exist in other provinces. And the stick off course (to be used in a very limited way) are the guns and the planes.
