You know, its entirely possible that when an Indian/Hindu bride sees a Pakistani/Muslim wedding, she goes, "MyGod, how tacky! How ugly! What on earth are they wearing!!!"
I thought the decor was so very lovely, really dreamlike. I also loved the confetti canon for the baraat and the white doves set off as their car was leaving. And the fireworks entrance was really fun. The diamond jewelry set that her dad designed was gorgeous as well. I wonder what they did with all the flowers afterwards though. The only 2 costs that surprised me were the $4,500 for the makeup artist, wow! And also that for their 575 guests, the dinner menu only cost $35,000, thats only about $60 per head, and with the dessert cost it comes to close to $80, not too bad at all
One thing I found funny was how she kept saying her dresses were custom made for her. I guess for white people, who maybe often buy their dresses off the rack and dont get them specifically tailor made for themselves, having a custom made dress sounds like wow. But for desis, custom made could also just be a fancy way of saying that you had your local darzi sew something from scratch just for you lol
Someone mentioned that it was tacky how she kept saying this cost that much, that cost this much. But thats the purpose of the show isnt it. I doubt in real life when she tells people about her wedding she starts pulling out her receipts and explaining how much they spent. Obviously the producers kept asking these questions, because they want to have these numbers on the show. So its doesnt necessarily reflect tackniess on her part
