A very silly question...

Re: A very silly question...

Babies are innocent and therefore it is impossible to not love them just because you hate the father of your child.

My father was physically and emotionally abusive towards my mother while she was pregnant with me. On top of that she had to buy lots of heavy groceries and lug them around walking and taking the bus (with no help from him). Against all odds, her pregnancy progressed complication-free and I was born healthy. I think of myself as a miracle baby because of all that my mother endured during her pregnancy. This has never affected the love she has for me.

And now I think if I was in her situation it would have been the same. I would love my future children no matter what. Alhumdulilah I am not in that situation and have a loving hubby.

Re: A very silly question...

If mothers are supposed to love their children "no matter what", you wouldn't have something quite serious called postnatal depression. Its a lot common than you think and its because of 'oh how could a mother not feel a bond with her baby' expectations and rules, women even in most advance and liberal countries don't feel like getting help with their PPD.

Human mind and emotions can be so complicated.

Re: A very silly question...

its because in such a situation you think that the child is your and only yours, you dont think about the other part that belongs the father.

Re: A very silly question...

Yup, a very silly question indeed.

Re: A very silly question...

And you had to dig up an old thread to say that... Silly as well!!!
