Re: A US Marine responds to my article about the Mujahideen

He was very articulate in expressing his humane reasons for fighting the terrorists. He didn't stoop to the attempt at humour and insult as did the original poster. He expressed his desire and willingness of sacrifice to help the Iraqi people from these 'brothers' who are killing their innocent men, women and children. One groups wants to kill innocent Iraqis, the other wants to save them from that group.

That difference alone makes this silly list irrelevant.

Semi, he did mention that he felt morally obligated to rebuild what they destroyed in the first place. Sounds like a confession. Though a good thought if he has realized what they did was wrong in many ways.

Re: A US Marine responds to my article about the Mujahideen

Is it any secret that they detroyed the infrastructure in the opening phase of the war? No confession from this man was needed. This individual Marine didn't do it, but he feels obligated to rebuild it and help the Iraqi people. Tells a lot about his character.

The soldiers arent the bad guys here...its the people that sent them...

Re: A US Marine responds to my article about the Mujahideen

I agree with Seminole.. the original list was clearly improper and uncalled for... extremist propoganda.. the marine has my respect.. I agree with him that a US pullout wud only worsen the situation

Re: A US Marine responds to my article about the Mujahideen

^ It is a bad idea to take the troops out of iraq at such a crucial time. It would be a playground for Al Qaeda and they'll have the whole country all to themselves.
