welocme to GS .. seriously speaking we have nothing against israel. nothing against any country not even india.

we appriciate israel gesture towards all the resolutions related to kashimir in UN cause israel never voted against us!!!

we have too many similarities including extermism.. imean paksitna is considerd Islamic extremist where as israel is seen as extremist as well. we both need to alter our image and be more sensible .... we may not be close friends but we shouldn't be enemy either.

Do you think Pakistan could except Isreal as a country to strenghten our ties due to Arabs have been failed in continues attempt to have peace with isreal. Isreal have nothing against Pakistan nor iam sure Pakistan has. Pakistan majorly have ties with arabs where arabs have given nothing to Pakistan i.e, defence projects??. Social economic welfare of people?. In ties with isreal, Pakistan would be able to access defence, economic, and social affairs with Isreal as isreal is keen to have friendship with major Islamic nuclear power.

I think instead of studying Pakistan and Israel, you should turn your attention to Palestine or Syria or Lebanon.

Probably not. Regardless of what the arabs have done or have not done (and Saudi Arabia and many Gulf States have economically done a great deal for Pakistan), Pakistan is founded entirely on ideology unlike Arab states.

It would be a gross betrayal of the ideals of Pakistan’s founders if Pakistan, created as a homeland for Muslims to be able to practice their faith free from oppresion, were to extend recognition to a state that is occupying land owned by Muslims and is oppressing them.

Whilst I have little objection to the talks between Pakistan and Israel, I think that recognition of Israel even within the 1948 “Green Line” boundaries would be inappropriate without full concensus from the OIC.

Lets talk about saudia arabia. Saudia arabia is been actively involved in terrorism in name of Islam. And even extent to ‘oppressing’ their own citizens by means of denying right to choose the government, denying women rights, denying proper criminal investigation of accused. Isreal is reality, do not forget we are humans too. And what exactly is OIC?. OIC has done nothing for sake and providing justice to their own countrymen..why expect something out of them in wide range?.

some jews recently came to our uni, and they said that Israel being a country is totally against the teachings of Judaism…apparently, what ur religion says is that you shouldnt have a country of your own or rule one (i.e. Israel). so they said what Zionists are doing is 100% against the teachings of their religion (i.e. occupying Israel). is that true?

in other words you cant be a real jew and yet defend Israel.

What they mean is zionism is against teaching of Judaism not country as isreal. Isreal is given as a gift from God to us and God is protecting us. Unfortunately, there are zionist extremists who are spreading hatred in using our religion. And yes, defending isreal is another issue. Iam member of Isreali defence force and will defend my country at any cost. I guess you will do same thing if your country is attacked i suppose isn’t it?.

Hi Nicole, welcome. To answer your question, let me just share with you the intolerance that the government of Pakistan has for Israel, my pakistani passport states in very bold, clear, ink, that this passport is valid for travel to all nations of the world except Israel. No explanation, nothing. With this kind of narrow minded, pathetic, attitudes in our government, don’t look for any support from this so called Islamic state (Islam promotes tolderance and acceptance, not intolerance), Pakistan as a nation will never support Israel as a valid state.

Sorry, but it’s the truth.

Intolerance is the major cause of concern not only among Muslims but every religion of this world. Pakistan atleast should open their people to visit isreal and visit their holy place in Jerusalem. I mean don’t you want to see your history?. Meet us people there and get along with each other. Pakistan needs to open up their foriegn policy on “open minded” basis just like Turkey has done.

Nicole, I have often found references where Israel and Pakistan have been compared on their ideological back ground at birth but Pakistanis generally find it a very offensive comparison.

Just like in Israel, Pakistan has a internal struggle as what the founding fathers really want it to be - a Islamic state or a Muslim homeland. This struggle has often caused disharmony among its citizen and still a cause for heated debate.
