^ hmm, interesting it means you are saying Musharraf is modern day Yazid?
[/QUOTE]
So is zardari, karzai.... Why are pakistanis limited to thinking in a particular box... Even after that there is a bigger difference between the later group and yazid. Yazid at least appeased his own followers by threatening the Sahabah in Madinah and giving the illusion that their bayah to him was legitimate instead of under duress.
Everybody knows the illegitimacy of the later group yet the muslims have accepted humiliation before dignity and honour and even go as far as taking it upon ourselves to justify their presence instead of placing the onus of such work on their shoulders. I have heard Pakistanis (yes Pakistanis specifically) even go as far as saying Mohammad bin Qasim should have never come to Sindh, and Prophet (saw) should not fought the Quraysh.
Of course from a humanist point of view they are correct actually. But how long are we going to put an Islamic garb on a "humanism" and "defeatism". And the offers made by Quraysh to our Prophet (saw) were much much greater than any leader would give today to any true Islamic movement in order to pacify them, and yet he rejected them all. Yes he was not working with defeatist mindset nor was a he a humanist.
Being bitten from the same hole again and again and again when our Prophet (saw) said "a Muslim is not bitten from the same hole twice"
P.s. don't knock it if you don't have the heart to watch it...syke...As I am more interesting in specific issues/points which you think are errors or mistakes.
