Just finished it last night.
Loved the book! A little to harsh at times but it really helps you see the 1947 partition from a human point of view.
Very lifelike characters and brilliant story.

The synopsis refers to Jugga’s love story being the main theme but that not true. This book explores many dimensions of love.

Has anyone read it? Ifyou have please comment on the ending.

I did.. This is I think best book by khushwant singh.
I simply loved this book. It had pretty balanced depiction of what happened then. I think there was movie made on this book too.

No, I have not read the book but I did watch the movie of it. Has anyone else seen the movie "Train to Pakistan" Is it the same story as the book?

f&b you know I was thinking the same thing, it should def. be a movie. I definately want to see the movie.

i'm readin it these days...still in the begining, and it sounds quite interesting. Khushwant singh is very descriptive and the whole scene actually comes to life...i didnt know there was a movie, when was it made and who were the actors? i'd love to watch it.
