I’m gonna go out and put my neck on the line and say sci fi fans and those willing to take a risk will love this movie. I haven’t seen it yet but the director/writer Joss Whedon is something of a genius when it comes to quality writing and directing.
This is essentially a Western Movie in a sci fi setting, no aliens and usually no technobabble..just interesting but flawed characters, good action and good jokes.

Loved it. A fast paced action packed fun movie that you probably shouldn't miss. Nathan Fillion (had to look that one up) did pretty well. So did the girl who played River.
Ok, is it just me or did she look like an alien version of Alanis Morissette? The entire time I was half expecting her to suddenly break into "isn’t it ironic" or something similar.

Nice movie. Why did Mr Im so smooth assassin black guy had to kill the doctor in the beginning?
Apart from that i cant help but draw parallels between this movie and the first of the Star Wars movies (Episode 4 i guess). Rogue character with his crew and ship doing petty crimes for money end up getting involved in something really huge and manage to singlehandedly bring order to chaos. I mean the captain even looked like Harrison Ford!
Anyway fun movie. Go watch it.

I've been meaning to write a short review for this..all I can say is very enjoyable movies..interesting characters and quality writing with good sfx..I say again..do give this movie a look if you want something different!
