Re: A Tale of a funny fight
so... Arab women in Saudi Arabia keep their lips sealed during ..... ?
Re: A Tale of a funny fight
^
Exactly… (ahem)
Re: A Tale of a funny fight
If i was the Husband .... I wud be Proud of my wife, firstly coz she had guts to read dua when no one did and secondly coz she speaks fluent Punjabi :D
Re: A Tale of a funny fight
Dont get it..theres something missing from the story.. dua can be in any language, you can dua when you are on your periods.. there is no "set" rules of dua..
well this is the funny thing. A lady saying i can’t do dua coz its in Arabic. i found this extreme thinking coz even in periods u can read darood n make dua to Allah. doesn’t hav to recite Quran.
As for the Punjabi lady
seriously it was a new concept n believe me ALL of the guests n host r themselves pure punjabi. but everybody just held their laughs.
the husband might hav been upset coz all the mutual friends pulled his leg n wife was upset coz she didn’t find it was any reason to ridicule her. My guessing.
Re: A Tale of a funny fight
That's really kind of sad....why did the ladies gang up and tattle on her to the husband? or were they just joking about it? why are those ladies if they are so naik parveens, even talking to another woman's husband? maybe im taking it too seroiusly.......

Nahin Sara the ladies didn't talk to her husband. Its like a mutual friend's group. they all know each other personally. the ladies told their husbands. the husbands(who r all bold friends) called her husband.
ok anyways i just told the story for a laugh. i'm sure it was no serious fight.
Re: A Tale of a funny fight
Her husband shud've shut everyone's husband up instead of fighting with his wife.
Re: A Tale of a funny fight
I wonder what arguments are like for this couple when they** truly** have a serious issue to deal with ![]()

i agree… this is WHY islam encourages us to seek knowledge!! I hope the new generation can eradicate such aunties so that the newer generation dont have to witness it gosh
buzurg log hain but u know peer pressure ![]()
Re: A Tale of a funny fight
What I want to know is. Since when were all Parveens, naik?
^ why did you guys call the punjaban's husband for? I bet he is a wahabi?
I think Quran khani's aren't even allowed in Islam i didn't read in Quran that you're suppose to do that?
lol and now u sound like a wahabi :D
Re: A Tale of a funny fight
^aren't u happy atleast he has read quran thoroughly.
McPendo in which language did u read quran ? just curious :)
Re: A Tale of a funny fight
Poor lady :(
Re: A Tale of a funny fight
Punjabi people themselves have been totally unaware of how rich a language it is. They don't how beautiful dua's and religious poems have been written in punjabi.
It's Not unlawful to make duaa when u r in ur periods. U can even read Quran during the cycle by not touching the Quran with bare hands. Take some neat paak cloth n u can hold Quran with that and read.
Re: A Tale of a funny fight
This is pathetic for more than one reason, and I do feel very sorry for the lady in question.
1) Khatam and Quran khawni aren't exactly 'islamic' as they reek of bidah. But provided it is okay to have them, what is the point of supposedly having a religious gathering and then making some poor lady miserable by gossiping about her?
2) Dua'a can be made at any time, in any language. Allah doesn't only understand one language, or he will only hear to Arab's prayers. These ladies should be ashamed of themselves.
3) What has making a dua'a got to do with periods. Seriously, what is the purpose of such a gathering if none of the ladies has even enough knowledge to know that you can make a dua'a at any time in any language. I fail to see the purpose of this gathering other than women getting together to gossip.
4) The husband is such a loser. So what did he reproach his wife for, 'er, why did you make a dua'a in Punjabi, don't you know the language of 'religion' is Arabic'.
Very sad, I don't find anything funny about this tale.
