This jerk married a girl to get green card. In the process they had two kids. He divorced her and came to US and kept the kid’s passports. The girl went to the US embassy to tell her story and finds out, he submitted a document stating that mother of the kids is taking the kids away without the father’s permission. They had joint custody that time. The girl was rotting in Pakistan with no one to help her and being a citizen herself she couldn’t come to the US because of her kids.
This is what the girl did then, got lone custody of the kids in Pakistan. It was a long long battle for 3 yrs. So finally she got that. Passport was still an issue. After the custody she got new passports made, that was of course another long process. The case was still going on, she left the country before the jerk made another smart move of filing another crap statement. In Pakistan people leave in between the case and it wasnt an issue. I didn’t know that but glad she did. As soon as she entered the US, she told INS everything.. HA!
I think your friend should go to the embassay as soon as she can. Don’t even give that jerk time to think of what to do next. Trust me on this, if she doens’t do it fast, she’ll be stuck in Pakistan for years.
