A Successful Business : How

As the owner of the “Coca Cola” company started selling the drink like a vendor in the streets. What empowered him that today he has the biggest soft drink company in the world.

Similerly “Lipton” tea company, the man was so poor, his business was flopped in Europe then he went to Sri Lanka & bought many damaged crops land but now Lipton is selling tea in all over the world.

Similerly “IKEA” the furniture company is the biggest company of furniture in world. Its owner is world no.4 rich person. Even he started his business when people use to buy home furniture after 10-15 years. But he made people to buy it often.

And why go far away, the no.1 rich..Bill Gates progressed in years & become the most rich person in world.

What is behind all of them. If we study their lives, they all are poor.

What you think…How can We establish a good bussiness…What is most important.

A very highly educated person required to run the business.
A very experienced person required.
It is a matter of Luck. (to have more livelyhood. Check the List of All lucky ppl)
Must follow the international market.
Should have all the departments computerized.
The bussiness owner could see the future…

Or

A Lot Of Hardwork is Required.

Re: A Successful Business : How

nothing… its a conspiracy and amreeka is behind it all. They cause all the problems and take all the money. poor us

Re: A Successful Business : How

i dont think education is much of a factor. when it comes to running a business, the experience you acquire is of value. i think alot of it has to do with good luck and good decision making.

Re: A Successful Business : How

it's pure luck factor , and of coarse smart brains , i mean constant hard work ....................................... education & experience plays a little " in business"

Re: A Successful Business : How

jhoot, i dont believe…indians are also making good bussiness, some arabs, & some europians also…

Re: A Successful Business : How

why the luck of only some western ppl is good, why not any pakistani has good luck, enough for appearing in top 100 bussinessmen list…

I think it is your hardwork & your knowledge.

Re: A Successful Business : How

hard work and brains.

Re: A Successful Business : How

I suppose it's more important to work smart than to work hard...

I'm not saying hard work isn't important, I'm just saying it should be towards a cause.

Brains... I guess it really helps (alot) if you have them, but I think someone with average brains could still run a company, provided he's willing to learn and understand his limitations.

I think it's very important to think big if you want to be big. There's no point thinking in the context of a corner shop if you want to be a billionaire.

Also I think it's harder for many of us as muslims to run businesses due to Islams laws on interest, but it's still possible to be successful.

Re: A Successful Business : How

Even we have many examples in Pakistan itself! The Tapal tea - started their business with a small in Jodia Bazar and there was "Post Box" in front of their shop - post box is called "Tapal" in gujrati!

Re: A Successful Business : How

pakistan is full of opportunities for 'normal' person to become successful in business. pakistan is one big growth market and it is specifically growth markets that a 'normal' person has the chance to build a sizeable business.

growth markets however are not restricted to developing countries. the continued computer boom allowed AMD to become a major player. one other example is the success of very very average people who jumped on the mobile phone bandwagon when it first took off. many of those companies are now stock market listed or have been purchased by very large holding companies. 4u, carphone warehouse (uk) etc.

Re: A Successful Business : How

despite all this talk of markets and stuff smaller businesses are not to be scoffed at. its very possible for a owner/operator with perhaps one, two or no employees to make a very good living. some businesses however require you to eat, drink, sleep with thoughts about them! can be a real 24/7 job. most people are not successful on their first venture. it takes perhaps a few faillures before a viable business is realised.

Re: A Successful Business : How

I think the problem with Pakistani business is that once a company reaches a certain level of success (especially in a populated marketplace) than rishwat starts to enter the picture.

I wouldn't say it's impossible to succeed in Pakistan without bribery... just very very very difficult.

Re: A Successful Business : How

we are talking about hard work and smart work but we are missing two very important factors, dedication and determination, Bill Gates, and other people mentioned above were dedicated, when Windows 1.0 had a failure, BG aver gave up he came with Win 2.0 and still a failure untli windows 3.0 ... and it was years of determination and dedication and believing in the cause.

What Lacks in Pakistani business-men is, one or two failures are enough reasons for them to change or settle what they are getting, it is not rishwat, it is lack of determination, dedication and vision. Once Pakistani ppl will have them, they will be in top 10 businessmen list.

Re: A Successful Business : How

O, yes. 100 % right..........devotion must be there...
