A stark reminder

A while back, certain Musharraf supporters arrogantly questioned us as to why the people werent coming out on the streets to get rid of the Musharraf dictatorship. This was primarily when the brutality, detentions, torture of protesting lawyers, civilians, politicians and mediamen was at its peak. Some people quite rightly answered them by saying its a good thing people arent coming out and causing choas.

What happened after BB’s assasination (the destruction and chaos) is a stark reminder to the arrogant Musharraf supporters, as to what can happen if the people start coming out on the streets to show their displeasure. This is why it is very imperative that Musharraf resigns quietly, and goes into exile to either the UK or US, gives over power to Kiani who should hold freee and fair elections in 90 days.

Re: A stark reminder

Oh yeah… And with the soaring inflation and constant load shedding, how long will it be before resentment for Mush and his dictatorial rule really boils over…

That would be ideal though… But today, Mush chamchas today accused intenational think tanks of “meddling” in Pak affairs without knowing the ground realities! :rotfl:

Does Musharaf have any clue to the 'ground relaities" ??? :hehe:

Then they threatened local media by saying, such news should be handled “carefully.” Patheitc dictator…

“Pakistan criticises Crisis Group for meddling ISLAMABAD, Jan 4 (Reuters)- Pakistan government Friday slammed a Brussels-based think-tank on Friday for meddling “in the country’s democratic process” after it issued a report saying President Pervez Musharraf should quit for the sake of stability. The International Crisis Group report was “patently biased and reflects a complete lack of understanding” of ground realities in Pakistan, an official spokesman said in a statement. He said elements of the report suggesting Musharraf should be persuaded to quit were tantamount to propagating “seditious views against the laws of the country” and advised media in Pakistan to handle such material with care. Re: A stark reminder

Basically they are threatening the media not to publish such things. They can always kill some editors by means of 'renal failure'
