A Sino-American Turf Battle In Pakistan: A Different Perspective

Re: A Sino-American Turf Battle In Pakistan: A Different Perspective

Yeap. They were laundering money supplied from Arabs. baloch laborers may be sending $50 a month to feed their families. That's hardly enough to buy few bullets and may be a fifth (and not even second) hand AK-47.

Re: A Sino-American Turf Battle In Pakistan: A Different Perspective

The amount mentioned, I vaguely remember, was enough for a trip to moon and back. Expect Mengal's to play with $50 bills?

No.

After the Red Mosque operation, some analysts in the Pakistani strategic community detected a clear attempt at provoking a confrontation inside Pakistan between religious elements on one side, including the moderate ones, and China on the other.

Yup, that kidnapping of the Chinese by the Lal Masjid goons as well other attacks on Chinese nationals are clear and concerted attempts by external elements to create division between China and Pakistan. It has not worked.

^ Some projects have been put on hold though.

I don't think merc and OBL live in the US, but can you tell me why would they post ads in the tribune asking for balochi speakers here? See, urdu / pashtu / even punjabi makes sense for "jihadi" purposes but I have yet to see balochi jihadis? This jundallah is part of balochi smugglers and it is supported by the US. I can see only reason that US would want balochi speakers and that is to destabilize Iran.

PS Look at the reports now that american doctored the intelligence report about the alqaeda in pakistan in the washington post. Even bush is now saying that iran is arming taliban in afghanistan [the same case with alqaeda being buddies with saddam] and his pet karzai said "we have friendly relations [cooperation] from Iran". You should have seen bush's face.. ;)
