Re: A simple question regarding multiple wives
ummmm... dont know any one from outside. but my phuppo 's husband married another woman because my aunt was sick. Sick in sense that she had brain tumor. This was detected hardly after a year of their marriage, which was love marriage btw. She went thru 2 major brain surgeries and doctors said she wont be able to concieve kids ever. Also due to her sickness she was not normal mentally. she would have those hystrical episodes once in a week or so. She would scream, break things around her. Her husband took her to every doctor possible. He married the 2nd woman with the consent of my aunt and her family (my grand parents). He kept both wives, initially in separte homes, later together as my aunt's condition was deteriorating day by day. The 2nd wife took care of my aunt day and night. My aunt would throw things at her. 2nd wife even got injured few times but I salute this woman for her patience :) .................. my aunt died about 3-4 yrs back. she was in much pain :(
Anyways other than this case, I dont know of any man with multiple wives.
Re: A simple question regarding multiple wives

Am pretty sure you're not allowed to have two wives living in the same house.. If she needed looking after a maid, carer or trusted family member could have done it, not the (other) woman he was sleeping with.. could even have made her worse mentally as it's more or less rubbing her nose in it (even if she was supposedly ok with husband marrying again)..

But she took care of the lady, did she not? Luckily, not all women are as malicious and spiteful as the feminist lot wish them to be.
Re: A simple question regarding multiple wives
*^Someone who is having sex with your husband is prob not the best person to be taking care of you.. *
Don't have to be a 'feminist' (love how that term is used by guys on this forum, says more about them that they can't even use the word correctly) to see that.. Any doctor would say that, even moreso about a woman who is already mentally fragile.. I wonder if it was your own mother in wife no.1's situation would you be seeing it as a good thing..

So ideally, the man should have sourced a woman to have sex with, and then someone to take care of the wife.
PS: I loved how you edited your post to fit my mum into your analysis. Lol.
Re: A simple question regarding multiple wives
^How is that 'fitting your mum into my analysis'?? It's called *trying to make people empathise.. *
So you can't answer how you'd feel if your mum was in that situation? A simple 'yes, I'd be ok with it' or 'no, I wouldn't' will do..
Not ideally.. If you're going to go round marrying again it's obligatory to house them separately.. It's common-sense not to rub a woman's nose in it or make her feel more jealous or insecure..

That someone was his wife and mother of his 1 daughter by that time. Also my aunt was extremely attached to his daughter (reason being she could not have kids). she would call her as her daughter and wont let her mother touch her. The way she was reacting the arrival of this baby, everyone had a hope that she might become normal.
For a care taker you need someone whom you trust and not just bring someone to your home. Additionaly due to her health condition (like she could harm a person) to find a caretaker was even harder. It was 2nd wife's greatness that she accepted the responsibility whole heartedly. Learn to appreciate and not point fingers at others specially when you know nothing about the whole situation.

Now quit discussing my family. I am not liking it. I know mistake is mine for quoting something personal on this public forum. Wont do that again.

People will naturally discuss if you post about something here, isn't that the point of a forum? Fair enough if your aunt was happy but others may well not be.. I've heard of women who were mentally ill and their husbands remarrying made them 10x worse (my dad is a psychiatrist).. Each to their own tho, if it works for people good for them..

Dodging my question, Altair?

Re: A simple question regarding multiple wives
You just don’t know when to shut up do you?
I am not in that situation love, if I were, perhaps I would have been okay with it considering how well it worked out for that family.
Re: A simple question regarding multiple wives
Wow.. someone needs to learn some manners.. I asked a simple question and it seems I hit a nerve or something..

Sorry Fairytale. I won't mention it again and sorry if it came across as if I was attacking you..
Re: A simple question regarding multiple wives
I am sorry that I over reacted. it is just that that aunt was quite dear to us. Her death is as fresh for us as it had happened just yesterday. plus I have a bad day start today … ![]()
