To you Torontonians here, i would like some info. I finally booked my summer accomodation to Washington today, but my flight will be stopping via Tornonto International for 4 hrs before i touch down at DC.
I always like to take some memorabilia from every city i visit and was wanting some nice info. on one or two must see places i can have a quick browse at whilst i am there, that are not too far from the TO international during the hrs i have to kill some time.

if it’s a 4 hour stop over…how will you have time to come out of the airport 
ps alas IMO even if you could, nothing really to see around the airport, unless you want to do some desi grocery and buy a sari or sharara

Well it doesnt necessarily have to be near the airport, i have more than enough time to see some places and be back for pan cakes.

no u dont :-) just to come outta airport, airport area, and go back in airport area, and in airport, 1.5 hrs of ur time (good average) gone.. u're left with 2.5 hrs.. minimum WORTH seeing/driving things arent nearby..
4 hrs is a dangerous stop for doing stuff in these situations ;-)

yes…some party shartian…you get the drift 
yeah like faizy said you really won’t have enough time to see anything. airport’s in the middle of nowhere. by the time you get somwhere, after factoring in where it is and the traffic, it would be your flight time. next time make the 4 hours in to 4 days and then we’ll talk

Orpheus.......during what part of the day does that 4 hour period fall?
Cuz if it's at some decent hour on a reasonable day, someone could actually pick you up outside the airport, take you for a spin downtown and drop you back within 1.5 hours......

ahhh so by the time you get out it will be closer to 3, and then he rush hour begins soon afterwards. not worth going out to see anything, and I mean even if you did all the effort to go out and see something, you will just be disappointed anyways. unless its over the weekend, then the traffic should be lighter.
