I was single back then. They are not part of my social circle anymore.
Re: A Shameless Practice: Divulging Bedroom Secrets
It reminds me of some people I know, who constantly talk about how others tareef them so much… ![]()
I will second that . It depends on what kind of friends and acquaintances you hang around with. ![]()
People, seek company of nice friends not perverts. :halo:

I hang around people who love to tell dirty jokes or listen to them but they do not divulge any dirty secrets of their bedroom adventures. ![]()

To the OP, I have never heard of this besharam talk until I read your post which goes into quite some detail.

Man you have some sharp eyes.
Re: A Shameless Practice: Divulging Bedroom Secrets
I have a couple of things to say:
Human beings' curiosity about sexuality has been around ever since civilizations decided to consider it an evil and shove it away. Western cultures are surely more open about it, but they can't be blamed for its existence in Eastern cultures.
Secondly, I agree that talking about (any) personal issues with others, without SO's permission is morally wrong. However, talking to your friends about it, in my opinion, shouldn't be an issue. You talk to your friends about everything else, why is sex so special that you shouldn't? I have found that these (respectable) conversations usually take place among sexually experienced people or between experienced and curious people. As long as it respects their partner, I don't see an issue with such conversations.
The details that people go in should depend on how comfortable the friends are and how comfortable the partner is to know that they/their sexual relationship is being discussed.

I often rely on the fact that my wife is the CM of this channel :p
Re: A Shameless Practice: Divulging Bedroom Secrets
I guess nothing is private anymore. If people make sex tapes and others place their exploits on the internet what stops people from discussing it in general. A rather sick practice and more importantly one that simply shows we need to control ourselves some more.

You kept religion completely out of you POV. Read the first post again. OP has many references to religion.
Islamic etiquette dictate that one can discuss sex life with therapist or with mufti for seeking fatwa only.

My post is about my opinion on the matter, which does not include any religion. If I do involve any religion, this will turn into a completely different debate.
Re: A Shameless Practice: Divulging Bedroom Secrets

Re: A Shameless Practice: Divulging Bedroom Secrets
This phenomenon is not so common. But it all depends on individual circumstances.
Some girls may ask simple advice from mothers or so on. But I think this is also not so good thing to do.
It is breaking the privacy rule and sort of cheating on the partner...I mean sort of.
At times siblings tell each other the details and that is even worse since you see the close relative on usual basis. :(
In essence whatever is between husband and wife should stay completely private between them unless there is a real problem.
Re: A Shameless Practice: Divulging Bedroom Secrets
^ Why would it be wrong for a girl to ask her mother for advice regarding sexual matters (not that I'd do it, that would be toooo weird, would go to best friend instead)?? So if a girl was finding sex painful or had excessive bleeding or something she should just keep it to herself and not tell anyone??
There's nothing wrong with asking for advice regarding sexual issues in Islam, unfortunately our culture has made it into something dirty when it's not.. note that is obviously not the same as just 'divulging bedroom secrets' or gossiping.. In the early days of Islam men and women were not too shy to ask advice on these things..
