a scenario

say a person.

is always reciting the quran. reading nafl, namaz, surahs, wazaeefas, tasbeeh, etc..

but.

they dont care much for themselves. or their health.
their relationships with others are ok
they lead a pretty sedentary lifestyle
but “ibadat” is a constant in their life

what do you think of such a person?
is it extreme fear? helplessness? oblivion? a good thing? is that what we’re here for, hail god day and night. perhaps some duas will be heard. otherwise misery is your friend. go in your kabr. and get jannah. is that how it works

the things they pray for, perhaps if they took some action, theyd sort thsemselves out a bit :cb:

Re: a scenario

have you seen them in real?

Re: a scenario

Assuming you’re talking about Muslim/Islam from your post, such a person lacks knowledge of the deen. One’s health is given high importance in Islam and is one the rights of one’s ownself.

There are hundreds of references on that. let me share a few here from the book Hayat-ul-Muslimeen (I have currently in front of me of it’s english translation: How to Live as a Muslim) by Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi:

  1. Hadhrat Ibn Abbas (RA) narrates:

*"in regard to two bounties, most people remain in loss (deprived of their benefits). **One is Health *and the other is peace of mind."

  1. Hadhrat Abdullah Ibn Amr bin Aa’s (RA) narrates that Rasullulah (SAW) said:

*“Your body too has a right over you, your eyes too have a right over you.” *-- (Bukhari, Muslim)

  1. Hadhrat Amr Bin Maimoon Udi (RA) narrates that while admonishing a man, Rasulullah (SAW) said:

“Consider (certain) five things as a treasure before (another) five things overtake you. 1. Youth before old age; 2. health before sickness; 3. wealth before poverty; 4. peace of mind before worry; 5. life before the event of death.” – (Tirmizi)

Re: a scenario

Everyone lives in their own worlds. Why to judge / say about him or her. Hence my life is too short to worry about others.
