i feel sorry 4 the problem u r facing over here. however, it shows ur utter ignorance of shariah principle. in sahih bukhari there is hadith according to that woman is not allowed to travel for more than 3 days without a mehram.
i dont balme u for this it is the prime responsibility of the parents to make their children aware of the shariah basic principles and its rationale. i m surprised that he let u go alone in pakistan beside he did not make ne arrangement for ur accomodation.

actually what happened in the west (this trend is gradually developing here in pak as well ) Male cleverly shifted their responsibilty as a family head, to the woman under the slogan of equality and “u can do everything”.
now the situation is man is in “thund” and woman is burdened wid responsibilty.
