A rural area of Pakistan with 99% literacy

Please watch whole video!

Is that Hunza? Sorry haven’t watched the video yet. Will do later in the evening.

But a small town ‘Chakwaal’ near ISB also has 99% or 100% literacy rate. I was surprised to discover that upon my visit there few years ago. The most common choice of subjects / field there is medical & pharmaceutical. I was surprised necause had not heard about that in news prior to that about chakwaal or any other town of Pakistan except Hunza.

Have been there in 99 and even during those days , in the morning almost all girls were going to school. A lot of schools funded by Agha khan community. They are supported further by jobs in Khi as well.

Aga Khanies are not ahmedies! Although they do preorder their people for jobs but they also employ a lot of other people in their companies and organisations!

^^ Mostar, what’s the difference between Agha Khan community & ahmediyah community? I thought it were 2 names of the same community?

That new Serene airline also owned by them.

There is a huge difference! Ismailia has a history of 1400 years with their own caliphate in Egypt in medieval times. Ahmedies are only less than 150 years old originating from India!

So ismailia same as Agha Khan? 1400 years means from about the same time as prophet Mohammed PBUH?? So ismailia / Agha khanis don’t claim to be muslims like ahmedis ?

They do claim to be Muslim and as such recognised by the constitution of Pakistan! Even quid e Azam was originally a Shia Ismailia Muslim. And Sir Aga Khan the IIIrd was one of the prominent leaders of Muslim league

Ismailis are a branch of Shia. The mainstream Shia believe in 12 Imams starting from Hazrat Ali. They believe that the 12th imam went into hiding and will return at the end of times.
The Ismailis are a subgroup that believes that the imamat continued after the 12th imam all the way to the present and that the Aga Khan is their current imam.

They have absolutely nothing to do with the Ahmediyya.

A little correction they did not part away at number 12but perhaps at 6!

Wow. Alot of interesting info. Thanks both krash & Mostar.

But are you guys sure they hire outside of their community? I cannot recall he said he was agha khani or ahmedi because to me, these were two different names of the same community. So really not sure which one he said.

Aga Khanis are the sweetest people on earth

Ismailis are pretty cool based off of my experiences.

You are right. They split after a succession dispute after the demise of the sixth imam. The mainstream Shias then followed a different line of imamate that stopped after the disappearence of their 12th imam. The Ismaili line of imamate continues to this day.

Ah the Aga Khan! born in Geneva, holds British Citizenship, lives North of Paris, raised in Nairobi, studied in Switzerland and graduated from Howard! and if thats nothing, was also made honorary citizen of Canada, got.a billion dollar fortune, married a British supermodel, converted her to Islam, divorced, then married an American pop singer, converted her, and then divorced again!
