Dear Admins

Can we make a rule that a person can only have no more than two nicks in total?

Please.

It’s more like a complaint than a feedback so I posted it here.

We can control the trolling factor if that is your concern. However that has to be on case to case basis.

Having a control or imposing a limit on the number of nick is not possible for many reasons because we confirm the multinicks through IP addresses.

  1. Two people can login from the same house. They appear as multi of each other if we check through IP, but they are not. Just like in your cases, if I try to check your multi, Psyah’s name comes up although we all know that he is not your multi (or is he :hmmm:).

  2. One can use proxy to hide his/her multi and can register many multis that we wont be able to tell.

  3. One can use home computer for one set of multis and work computer for the other set and we cant tell.

  4. People from many countries (like not so advanced countries), when they login, one single IP address appears against all the nicks. Its not always possible to tell who is who.

good point. In fact people having multi nick express their feelings on the behalf of their original nicks, might be because they don't want to ruin their image on GS.
