Some basic degree of decency and respect is a must for discussion otherwise what is the point coming to discussion forums. Showing respect doesn't mean you agree to opinion of others yet it does show your class.
Everyone has a right to express his/her point of view in a nice manner and one must also try to be a good listener as well.
There was some reference to 'freedom of expression'. If freedom means that you are allowed to say whatever in whichever way you like then others will also be entitled to same level of freedom. In that case, the essence of discussion will be no more and it will be more like a 'street fight'.
I was wondering what sort of deal has been agreed upon behind closed doors as I am not seeing any change in the insulting behaviour of those who wanted to have wholesale 'freedom of expression' neither am I observing intervention by moderators on their audacious going against the very rules of this forum. Mean words like 'impostor', 'liar' etc. are still being used

So you ment to say just hear what all say and keep mum to yourself even if you know and see its not what "the truth" is.. so whats use of the Religion Forum then, if we even cant say what we believe in? You mean that we should respect that Mizra and while he has done a lot good to try his best to break and create more misunderstandings in Islam?
