Tell me one thing at the moment that gives you a reason to smile everyday.
Everyday? Man I wish I could be that smiley face. But I guess daily memes do help :read:
I gave Harris roast leg of lamb, garlic mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy and peas with drizzled butter and he gave me a big hug, made my day. Went on a lovely walk with Mrs and my dog in a drizzle along the river behind the house made me happy, the river with leaves turning looked so nice
Idk about every day but I will tell you what made me smile today. Went to a nearby park and the weather was just perfect. I had the entire park to myself. For a moment, I closed my eyes, felt the warmth of sun and tickle of cool breeze on my face. There were about a dozen different bird calls. I saw sparrows, humming birds, hawks, and this beautiful bird with blue wings. It was about 15 minutes of perfection, that is until it all got interrupted by loud helicopter and some private airplane overhead, also other humans entered the park. Lol
My nephew. He’s only 2-years-old, but even just thinking of him makes me happy. He looks just like my sister but I always insist that he gets his love of books from me. He goes crazy at the bookstore and won’t leave until you buy him a few of the many books that he yanks out from the shelves, lol. And knowing that books captivate/transfix him in a way that toys don’t,(MashaAllah) makes me very happy. With that said, I also love Barnes Noble. It’s a weekly haunt for me; that place and its ambiance make me happy. Another thing that almost always uplifts my spirits without fail is an overcast sky and rain. It could be a long and stressful day at work, but if I look out the window and see a gray sky…it calms me down.

The area in which I live has narrow roads that are surrounded by woods on both sides. Whenever flocks of geese are crossing the road, they take their time like a boss and make you wait while they wiggle their behinds to get to the other side of the road. Why fly when you could instead take a leisurely walk at the expense of 5+ waiting cars? That always makes me smile. Same goes for the squirrels. Suddenly one freezes in the middle of the road and watches my car via side view (peripheral vision) treating my car as a predator and forgetting which way it had to go.
^Speaking of wild life, we get a lot of deer in our neighborhood as the woods are close by. There was a time they’d get scared of approaching humans and cars and scamper off. But they’ve become immune to us now. You can walk by them and they stay put. You’ll see them practically every day crossing the road or visiting people’s backyards during the day and night. At night especially, I have to be mindful while driving as they sometimes can come out of nowhere. It’s always fun to see a whole family of them …especially with the fawns…walking along. Us residents have grown accustomed to them, but newcomers in the area will stop and stare and marvel, lol.

Just “Smile”?? Hmmm, people with whom I interact, whether they are just passing by..
The birds tapping their beaks against my window when I forget to fill their bird-feeder. Nature makes me smile, a lot.
