Its amazing how much Salman and I think alike, The words in this current article that resonated with my most strongly were..
if we too possess a hunger for the truth then it’s crucial to begin with understanding each other’s cultural perspectives.
I think that is what this site was created for, and as time goes by, as people engage, argue, share knowledge and perspectives, we slowly understand one another better, whether or not we agree.
lowest cmoon denominator approach t resonate with the masses. If we engage in highbrow intellectual dheenga mushti and 10 layers of complexity you may lose many people who just cant keep up.
Stories of grapes and anday are good and all but this comment sums up what’s really needed here:
Maybe this poster hasn’t visited salmon’s sufi rock web site (), he partnered with this desi family from Kullifornia. The clown son of the family was on bill maher and touted this org ‘Muslims For Bush’. They have changed the name of their org to ‘Muslims for America’. They should consider few other sites:
A really laughable article with no end result what so ever. A Muslim living in the US feels that he is better than a Pakistani. It is your mindless attitude and this same attitude has made things worse for others.
Salman abusing Aamir Zaki just because Zaki is better than him is not Zaki’s fault :)
Salman should see himself in the mirror first before coming up with such articles.
Bye
If you are referring to muslimsforamerica, firstly they arent from california but colorado, and secondly, in his documentary ‘Its my country too’, Salman does not share their pro-republican views, or the legitamacy of the war in Iraq, a war that they support. As for the second post about ‘every muslim thinking hes a better pakistani’, I dont know what it has to do with the topic.
You know I was thinking, after reading this and fraudia's post, alot of us do spend time alot of time on GS (and similar bbs) and post our point of views, and try to get it across to others, some do it rather aggressively, some do not, but how often do we listen to someone else's point of view, ot atleast try and make a decent effort to understand it.
oh so people agressively fail to listen to other people.
well, have you tried to do that lately? you wouldn't ban someone for, oh i dont know, disagreeing with your view? :)
Either way, salman ahmed is a moron. Not because he is a liberal hippie wanna be with a deep accent when he speaks english, but because he should never be allowed to sing.
reminds me i need to share the videos of junoon from pak day LA 2005 concert at the Colisium. prolly the last time ali and salman performed together in north america?
