A "Real" paper Mario :D

This is funny.

An artist / DIY’er named Keith Lam has created the first physical, playable implementation of Super Mario Brothers. By emphasizing Mario’s movement on the background, and turning the “TV” into the object which moves, the character appears to traverse the familiar landscape of SMB, complete with collision detection, brick movement, and mechanized jumping. The “system” is built using a chain-driven platform, which is shakily directed with an actual NES (well, Famicom) controller, thus allowing for some game play.

omg..i loved mario! i miss playing it :(
actually is there any way to play it nowadays? like the old school way?

Re: A "Real" paper Mario :D

Its a great concept, except its real old :)

When i was 7 i had this little car game. It basically had a screen with a scrolling paper roll in the background. The 'car' was a physical piece of cardboard that you could turn left or right using a steering wheel. The objective of the game was to keep the car on *the road and *off the dirt. The road and dirt were both simply drawn on the scrolling background. So whent he car was on top of the 'dirt' drawing, the points counter would stop increasing. And for the time the car would spend on top of the 'road' drawing, the point counter would keep rolling.
