Seriously, how sincere is he? Why does not the family like you? Can this be changed? If you two are really willing to make this work then, yes anything is possible. However, honestly how sincere and trustworthy do you think someone who keeps changing their promises really is with you? Unless he has an extremely valid and understandable reason, going ahead with this relationship is not a good idea. I think it's best to really discuss this with him and your family.
