does muslim only marry muslim?
i’m chinese and i have a good friend who’s also not muslim
she fell in love with a muslim guy
but his mother said if she wanna marry her son ,
she must bacame a muslim first.
she feel uncceptable cz once she became muslim
she’ll have trouble when have dinner with her own family.
but she really love that guy.
is there a must?is there another way to solve this problem?

In islam u have the right to marry someone who believes in 1 god (christians, jewish).
And i dont think u should become muslim, only to be able to marry a muslim. There is no point in that, if u dont feel/practice islam. You should Be a muslim, not just have a tag.....

A Muslim man can marry a non-muslim, esp those who are "Children of the Book" (Christian or Jewish) its not that big a deal (Islaamically). The families sometimes have a huge issue with this but if they are assured that any children would be raised as Muslims, it will go far in easing their concerns.
I'd really not advise anyone to convert to a different religion unless they understand it and beleive in it. Not a good thing to do at all - its insulting to the religion and to the "convert".

a muslim man can marry a christian or a jewish woman ONLY, but if the non-muslim woman does not convert, it needs to be understood that the children will be muslim, otherwise the marriage is not valid!

Question: What happens if you a girl decides to get married anyway to someone who is not muslim? The marriage is NOT valid then meaning the in islam you two are not considered maried?

its not valid in islam if a girl marries a non-muslim....
girls are not allowed to marry a non muslim not even to people of book and the reason is that the children follow father's religion not mother's religion just like children have father's name not mother's ......
i personally dont like the idea of marrying in a different religion....there are so many differences and if the person is converting for the sack of marrying someone......they are not gona understand whats and whys about islam...they wont be keen enough to try to explore islam, understand it and follow it....
but anyways....
Allah is the judge and He is the one who knows whats right and whats not!
