A Question

how is 2D design differ from 3D design exactly?

Re: A Question

the key difference is the PLANES. :chai:

in other words 2D is FLATE (X and Y axis); add Z axis and it becomes 3D; which gives it DEPTH and ROTATION.

Re: A Question

say what!!:konfused:

repeat plz:bummer: tell me fast i have to chose a class for next semester from one of these. 2D design or 3D design!

Re: A Question

wth…ur uni has a whole calss on 2D and 3D designs..:konfused:

Re: A Question

yeah all VC majors have to take it

VC= visual communications

but i am going to take it as a general elective...

i am a BCIS major BCIS = bachelors of communication and information studies.

Re: A Question

Re: A Question

so hws uni going…?..wen dus next sem start for u guys?

Re: A Question

lol

uni is going good and next semester starts on 13th Jan

Re: A Question

As Kami said, 2D is like flat whereas as 3D has more depth in it.

Googling some images will definitely help.

Re: A Question

Go for 3D class. you will automatically learn 2D in it.

3D deals with Isometric view of an object. One of the exersice invovles instructor giving you 3 planar (2D) views of an object and you draw 3D object from that

People who've taken Machine Design courses and Architectural Design courses know what I am talking about

Re: A Question

3D is when u work with clay..and make pots and stuff
2D is when u just sit there and draw on paper..basically u learn abt color..line..shade and stuff

Re: A Question

omg all are wrong. in 3D you will make actual models of art like in industrial design..things that are objects and in 2d its just pictures on flat surfaces.

Re: A Question

aray Itni dooor kion jaaying.. zara maths he achi tarah parh le hotii tu pata chal jata.. :grumpy:

Re: A Question

If I am not wrong, that is what Kami said, or atleast I thought he said. 2D will be flat where as 3D models will have depth in it compared to 2D :)

Re: A Question

thank you everyone i have decided to go for 3D design.

Re: A Question

yaar simple definition hai...

2D> flat image and 3D- you see depth (shadow)

Re: A Question

ok baba logon nay batadiya hai abh!
