I’m still shocked. Every child that gets out of the rubble makes me shed tears of happiness and relief. At the same time I feel desperate to go over there and help. Right now all I can do is pray. I’m feeling really sad.. From 20.000 deaths to 38.000.. That’s really shocking:crying: . May all those who died rest in peace. And may Allah give sabr to those who lost their loved ones.

Pakistan doesn't need money.. it needs material like medicine n other medical equipments.. blankets.. houses..clothes..pakistan has enough money to help those people.. but right now it's in need of material..
and they make me mad at the same time. I meam, they use those iamges to make people donate money to them. Not very nice way of asking money. The best way still remains as always to work in the same way as Edhi Trust does for all these years. And people donate them without asking.

In the beginning it was way too depressing, I felt guilty of sitting in comfortable environment when those ppl didn't have a home to live in. Its been almsot a week since I've been working for the victims and it has given me relief to some extent. Atleast I feel that I've tried to do whatever I can, though I can't bring back the dead but I'm trying to do whatever I can. I was feeling close to normal when the other day I visited patients admitted in the wards , and their stories are so frightening, its hard for you to stand there and hold back your tears even when you are going there to encourage them.
Here in pakistan you dont' have to ask ppl to donate money. We had a setup a collection point in our hospital and ppl were just coming up to us and writing us cheques for pretty handsome amount of money even though we were discouraging them to give us cash. But those of you who are staying abroad, the only way you can help is by donating cash ..so I guess its ok.

i feel sad for those in need , pain and mourning... i try not to care about little stupid problems in my comfy life cause obviously there are many more important issues in life....I'm proud of those who help there and regret to be stuck in europe, but it's life
Re: [li] A Question...
[/li] Lay-d Honey, you're right about that. Even though it might sound a bit harsh, if you send money you don't know wether it will reach the destination you've sent it to. Especially if you send it to the government. It's a good thing people all around the world have been sending things to Pakistan. But unfortunately they're still in need of tents.
Gizzy, I do understand what you're trying to say, but atleast it will catch the attention of people won't it? About the Edhi fund, that's a great way to help. My praise for him is out of this world. May Allah bless him for the wonderful work he does.
** sac ** Great job! May Allah bless you for your efforts. I can't imagine myself listening to the heartbreaking stories of people and at the same time try to comfort them. That would be really hard for me, I know that for sure.
