And your answer?
:rotato:
I want to
But I’ll be calm:D
We will see Allah (God) ..why can’t we?
I will try to explain & find something for you but first will you tell me, how this question came into your head?![]()
Please don’t mind.![]()
because He doesnt want u to see Him in this world....
the people who enter paradise will see Him though....
Foolish men conceive me, the unmanifest, as having become manifest. They
do not know my higher nature, everlasting and supreme.

Allah doesn't have a physical entity, so how could people entering the heavens would be able to see it. They may be able to feel his greatness and glory in their hearts but I believe that physicaly seeing Allah is not possible.

Can you not see "light" when it is not a physical entity?
Mr. Changez_like:
We are talking about Allah and not light. Light also has physical properties and it has a source. Allah doesn't have a source! He is source itself! Human can produce light and Humans can encompass air but they can't do that with Allah.
To compare light with Allah is utterly wrong argument!
True believers will ‘see’ God in the afterlife.
The way in which we will 'see' Him cannot be comprehended by our minds…
^^^ Exactly!
BTW True believer also see Allah in this world also. Their hearts can feel it and see him! But that feeling would increase many folds in the afterlife.
As I reviewed feedbacks on this many of you are refering Allah (SWT) as "it" "him" "he" "his". Please do some study and try to understand as to how you should be addressing "Him"
Here are a few references to the question. Hope this will answer
(al-An’am, 6:103 No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision: He is above all comprehension, yet is acquainted with all things. ).
As you can study above, the Qur’an teaches: Vision comprehends Him not, but He comprehends all vision
After the Prophet’s ascent to the heavens, peace be upon him, his Companions asked him if he had seen God. It is reported on the authority of Abu Dharr that, on one occasion, he answered: He is the Light. How do I see Him? (Sahih al-Muslim, ‘Iman,’ 291; Ibn Hanbal, Musnad, 5, 147). And on another occasion, he answered: I have seen a Light. (Muslim, Iman, 292). These statements clarify the well-known saying, The light is the limit or veil of God (Muslim, ‘Iman,’ 293; Sunan Ibn Ma’ja, ‘Muqaddima,’ 13; Ibn Hanbal, Musnad, 4, 13). Between us and God is the light which He created. All that we see we see by that light, within that light—the light is the ground and environment and the limit of our seeing, and that light shields or veils us from God. In fact, we see but a part of that light of creation, we see but a part of what veils Him.
Let us consider the matter from another direction. Ibrahim Haqqi says: ‘In the whole universe of creation there is nothing that is either the like or the equal or the contrary of God. God is Exalted above all form, in_deed immune to and free from form.’
It is only because existing things have a like or an equal or a contrary that we are able to distinguish them and perceive them. We know what is ‘long’ only against what is ‘short’ by comparison or contrast; similarly, we know ‘light’ only against what is ‘dark’. How then should we distinguish or perceive One who has neither like, nor equal, nor contrary? This is the meaning of the statement that God is Exalted above form.

What about Allah s.w.t noor( light ) that HE showed to Prophet Mussa (A.S) On mountain TOOR ? What was that ? The intensity of light was so much that the whole mountain went black.. !!! IMO this is the best description of Allah s.w.t as per Dulfiqar

Quran 24:35
Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth....
Quran 7:143
.... And when his Lord revealed His glory to the mountain He sent it crashing down....
why does Allah say He is light of the heavens and the earth????
and what was it that He showed to the mountain????
as for the verse (6:103) mentioned by wiseboy, then it is the vision of this world that cannot encompass the "light" of Allah....
similarly as the vision and the brain in this world cannot encompass the physical attributes of Paradise and Hell, but in the hereafter, that vision will not remain same....
or maybe Allah will show Himself as a light to His people who enter Paradise....
Allah knows the best....
but the answer still remains, He does not wish anyone to see Him, so no one can see....
Everything we see in this world, sing praise for Allah and thats include everything, this earth, the rivers, the rain, thunderstorms, lightning etc.
Hazrat Musa AS wants to see a glimpse of Allah's glory and Allah showed a glimpse of his glory through lightning on the mountain. But that doesn't mean we can equate light or lightning with Allah.
I believe Allah to be above any comprehension that our mind can come up with. As I have already stated that we can only see and feel Allah with his love in our hearts and sing praise to him by watching his wonderful creations.
In surah AL-Nur verse 35, the light doesn't mean the actual light that we normaly see in our daily life but the divine light given to the Prophets and the believers

ok, so light can have different meanings, and vision cannot????
fatehahmed... think out of box for once. when I mentioned about "light" it didn't mean that only that was intention. if our naked eye can not find out if light is physical or not but we can still see it, similar may apply to Allah swt... not necessarily physical but viewable.
one way to think of it is that according to a story that the prophet moses asked to see god and god showed a mountain himself and the mountain crumbled...
Quran 7:143
.... And when his Lord revealed His glory to the mountain He sent it crashing down..
God is to great for us to see with our human eyes..hence the shadow tha Moses saw.
the other way is
we do see God...everywhere we look. He is in the smell of flowers, in the vastness of the night sky and sound of the birds. God is everywhere and in everything you just have to "LOOK" with the right eyes.
Maybe Allah is ultra-violet light and we get shades in the after life that see ultra-violet. :p
Jokes aside, He maybe self manifested noor or however He has described Himself but if you want to approach it scientifically. How come Musa (pbuh) went blind after seeing Him? Maybe its light that is harmful to our eyes.
Remember that we possess limited knowledge and in the life after (heaven) we will be granted 7 levels of knowledge unimaginable in this world so lets not finish the argument at a dumb statement saying that He can't be seen at all.
Heh, fact is that we'll be $hittin' bricks if He shows himself to the likes of us.
