How many of you are employed?and it’s really a very serious question.
I want to understand the reasoning/mentatlity which triggers the urge to go and burn your hard earned money on some thing which is suppose to be worn twice/thrice or on things/functions that have no return/salvage value/long term benefit etc.

I am not once of those ladies but I will still say my thoughts ... I guess its all about interests ... some guys can ditch everything just to catch up on a game of cricket or football ... some on GOLF ... similarly some ladies have their interests locked in dresses and fashion.
I personally highly disagree with so much wastage of resources into fashion or shopping that is worth two or three wears .. but again ask the ladies and they might not agree with my way of living a life ...
god the prices of some of those dresses are
i can’t afford them, i just drool at the pictures people put up cuz i’m a new graduate lookin for a job…i would love to buy one of those pakistani designer dresses that’s on the affordable side after 2 or 3 yrs because a couple of them are sooooooooooooo beautiful

does it matter? if someone does spend the money, let them be. It's their happiness... if they wear the outfit once or 50 times.. its really noone else's business but theirs.
If their parents are paying for it, and they are happy to do so... let them be.
Who are we to question anyone's financial situations or budgets
Re: A question to the ladies who post in the Latest purchase/s & Shadi Forum
Agree with Sadzzz. They're not spending your money....it won't make a difference in your life.
The items may be worn several times. They may be given to someone who needs them. The buyers may be employed themselves......or they have a spouse/parent that doesn't mind supporting their lifestyle. It won't affect you in any way....whose money is being spent. If you're happy in the budget that you've set for yourself...and the way that you do things....then that's all that matters. In some situations...this can pose a problem...such as in a marriage. And if careful spending is a quality that is essential to you...then look for someone who also believes in and practices that.
But since others' spending habits won't affect you.........Live and let live.

for a man a nice looking car with all the good features might be worth spending that much money on,even if it keeps breakng down constantly after a couple years :p the price doesn't matter to a guy right?
a gal might feel the same true love for gorgeous looking clothes or shoes she feels are worth the money she would spend on them......
Re: A question to the ladies who post in the Latest purchase/s & Shadi Forum
Nobody says "live and let live" to** "ALL"** the issues in the Life forum.........BUT.........THIS advice is given (and has been given) when the readers feel that the OP is making a big deal out of something that really won't affect them on any level at all. At least, one has more of a relationships with a MIL or a Chacha....or a friend...or neighbor. These are anonymous people....strangers....whose spending habits are not going to affect the OP's life in any way whatsoever. Sure, there can be a "discussion"...that can include advice along the lines of "let it be"....when one feels it's applicable. Doesn't make it less of a discussion....a "discussion" is an exchange that contains various views...and "live n let live" is a view.

I am employed alhamdolillah !
I don't buy things for myself that would be used once or twice/thrice but I do buy branded outfits and products for my daughter. She out grows her outfits in 2-3 months but when she wear cute & nice outfits it makes me happy. Some things are priceless in life and they should remain that way , sometimes it's the emotional return that we get from our spending that counts . But everything should be in a limit , one should not go on & waste money on useless products. We buy expensive toys for our kids too .....what benefit do we get from it ? ..........a smile on our child's face & their happiness. Everything can not be measured in terms of money.

nope, no where did i condone bad behavior, the 'live and let live' statement is what would actually justify the bad stuff wouldn't it?
i'm just saying if one is asking a question, as controversial or nosy as it may be, there's no harm in asking it.
I am still not sure how someone elses spending habits are considered "bad stuff" and how ur affects people on here. If their fam is concerned, that's a matter for them to discuss. And.. I don't think I've ever agreed on the bagging inlaws issues. But at least these issues teach us how to be better people somehow.
