sadaqa is optional, zakat is obligatory…

what u have to pay on eid is not optional, its obligatory…
hence its zakat… zakat-al-fitr…
and since its zakat-al-fitr u pay it on the fitr (i.e. when the fasting has ended, end of Ramadhan) and not before…

Can you cite a Quranic verse for this obligation? JAK
