since you are asking and guessing my intentions, let me state it rather letting diwana run riot with his imagination.
There is this controversy going on about Sarkozy saying they don't want burqa women in France. While discussing that with some buddies I took the position that women should not be COMPELLED to wear burqa. I was told that it is a requirement and that it is intended to protect women from lustful gaze of men. So I asked the question why women should be punished for mens' lust.
Key points to note: I am not saying women should not wear burqa. In fact I object to Sarqozy saying they don't want burqa women in France. I have said it in the other thread very clearly that Sarqozy banning burqa is no different from taleban demanding everybody wear it.
I hope my intention is clear now - I just feel you shouldn't punish the victim.
Now, about the nuns: nobody is forcing anyody to become a nun. Like many other jobs, this one has a uniform (police, army, even medical workers have uniforms). Also note that it is not just women but men priests also wear full outfits called cassocks.
Diwana - your post about Hinduism feeding lusty men is wrong and even though you said it, I think, to insult Hinduism, why is it necessary for you to insult another religion? Can't you make your point without insulting someone else? It is really easy for others to insult Islam in return and then what happens? both sides degrade level of decency. PLs be more decent in future.
You have written something which has many flaws.
1- Reading your other posts asking something without backgraound knowledge is the strongest proof of your ill-intention.
2- You insulted islam by saying as if women are being 'punished' for any reason in islam. Obviously another proof you have not read Islam at all.
3- Accusing me of somehow insulting hinduism is so surprising since lust/sex is a main theme of many teachings or stories in hinduism. So in other words, you are pretending to not even know hinduism.
4- No one in the world cares about france or sarkozy so his stupid opinion does not even count. There has been many mad people in the world with skewed ideas and no need wasting time on it.
5- Please do not make it sound like a victim or oppressor stroy. This even makes your intention even more clear.
6- Like I mentioned, modesty is considered a virtue in three religions but not in hinduism.

Believe whatever you want but do not try to invoke these kind of questions for fun. Learn in your real life about Islam. A forum like this is hardly a site to learn things like that if you are sincere. If you insist, there is a search button above at your disposal.
