The invitation to a beach wedding says “shoes optional”.
What clothing will you wear? I’d like to hear from both men and women.

I'll wear linen pants or a cotton layered skirt and a pretty shirt, long dangly earrings and a bracelet.

Maxi dresses are sooooooooooooo in right know... I went to a beach wedding recently : Wore a super cute Maxi dress with a blazer - cause i'm always cold- over it, stud earrings (long dangly gets blown around in the wind at beaches), a chunky necklace, bracelet... Hair I had kept down in loose waves and later pulled into a loose ponytail when the wind picked up... and go barefoot.. make sure the Toes are done too ;-p
cute sandals in the car for later if need be

A dress for sure, and if you're up for it, I'd go knee length or just below, something with a fuller skirt and a more fitted top. Gauzy, layered fabric, loose curls etc. Definitely a pedicure in a really fun bright color.
I'd put Hubby in lightweight khakis or linen pants with a nice casual dress shirt and loafers he could slip on and off easily.

^I started this thread because hubby thinks he can wear his torn jeans and a superhero tshirt. 
I have a pretty maxi dress that I got a couple years ago that is mostly grey and has this black design on it. Very pretty and flowy. Was planning to wear that.

He will be appropriately well dressed for a wedding on the beach where shoes are optional. Those guys want this to be a non conventional wedding ceremony and your husband got the point.

Is is this a gora wedding or desi couple getting married on the beach ? Etiquette's will be different for both kind of weddings.
