You’re living in denial – I just stated what is known to all. There are tons of people from all over Pakistan living in Karachi, unlike the common perception that its home to just a specific ethnic group. A reason why Nazia could get away doing all that in Karachi is because it doesn’t carry the buden of the weird and totally outdated caste-fragmented setup of Lahore where people with a liberal bent are classed as being “kanjars” while the musicians are labelled “bhaands”. Just my observation, anyway.
